Curry that solved my problem
If you know me you probably know that somehow I am able to overthink the majority of my choices and then not think about other things at all.
One of the most recent choices that I did not entirely think through was my study abroad trip. This May I will be visiting India for a month. I thought about every aspect of my study abroad accept one of the bigger aspects… FOOD!
I was so excited about just being able to travel to India. I focused on what classes I would take while over there, when to get my passport, and already brainstorming how I was going to pack, but I never thought about the fact that I had never once eaten Indian food. What was I planning to do, just figure it out when I was over there?
4 pieces of the garlic naan was just not enough
With realizing the one flaw in my plan I decided to fix my wrongdoing and find out whether or not I would be eating during my study abroad trip.
Any nervous feeling I had immediately left my mind with my first taste of chicken curry with rice and a side of garlic naan at the Curry House Restaurant.
The garlic naan was delicious. The naan was fluffy and somehow perfectly crispy at the same time. Giving a great crunch with every bite. The naan itself was fantastic but you can never go wrong with a little garlic. I could eat this garlic naan quite possible every day if I could. What made the garlic naan even better was to dunk a piece of it into the sauce from the chicken curry.
Who would have thought that this once picky eater would now be in love with curry?
The chicken curry was a cause for mouth-watering flavor. I have no clue how to even begin to describe the taste of curry except that I absolutely fell in love with it. The curry added the perfect flavoring to the chicken and the sauce with just the right amount of heat to it at the end. The chicken curry was great just by itself but was even better when put on top of the rice or a piece of the garlic naan.
I can report that all of the garlic naan, chicken curry, and rice were devoured by the end of my time at Curry House Restaurant.
Curry House Restaurant will forever hold a special place in my heart, being the first place I ever tried Indian food and getting me even more excited for my trip to India!
I can’t wait to go back to try even more Indian food before my trip.
